3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENT: The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE:
A. Responsibility for Inspection: Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements of this CID. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the Commercial Item Description, where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements (See Section 6, Ordering Data).
B. Sampling. All sampling shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105, except for tests, paragraph 4.B.3.
(1) Sampling for Visual Inspection. A random wrapping paper shall be taken from each lot. The inspection level shall be S-4 with an Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) of 4.0 percent defective. The sample unit shall be one roll.
(2) Sample for Dimensional Inspection. A random sample of wrapping paper shall be taken from each lot. The inspection level shall be S-3 with an AQL of 4.0 percent defective. The sample unit shall be one roll.
(3) Sampling for Tests. A random sample of wrapping paper shall be taken from each lot. Sampling will be accordance with TAPPI testing procedure. The sample unit shall be one roll.
(4) Sampling for Preparation for Delivery. For examination of the preparation for delivery. The sample unit shall be one shipping container fully prepared for delivery, selected at random. The inspection level shall be S-2 with an AQL of 4.0 percent defective.
