PLASTIC SHEET AND STRIP
(FOR USE IN CONTACT WITH FOOD)
This Commercial Item Description has been approved by the General Services Administration/ Federal Supply Service.
1. SCOPE. This description covers plastic sheet and plastic strip in roll form intended for wrapping fresh meat or produce, for packaging food, and for covering dishes or glasses. Plastic sheet and plastic strip shall be of the following types, styles, and sizes, as specified:
Type A – Stretch film for wrapping fresh meats
Type B – Stretch film for wrapping produce
Type C – Shrink film for wrapping fresh meats
Type D – Self clinging film for food packaging and covering dishes or glassware
Style 1 – Perforated
Style 2 – Nonperforated
