(c) For tearing resistance use TAPPI test method T-414.

(d) For acidity use TAPPI test method T-435.

(e) Type II tissue paper shall not tarnish silver when tested using TAPPI T-444.

(4) examination for Preparation for Delivery. Samples taken in accordance with 4.B.4 shall be examined to determine compliance with section 5.

5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY.

A. Packaging, and Packing Provisions. Each ream (480 sheets) shall be packaged to prevent damage during multiple shipments, handling, and storage. Packaged tissue paper shall be packed in accordance with normal commercial practice. The packing container shall be closed to prevent accidental opening and shall be such to insure carrier acceptable and safe delivery to destination, complying with the rules and regulations applicable to the mode of transportation to be used. (See Section 6)

B. Marking.

(1) For Shipment to Civilian Agencies. In addition to any special marking required by contract or order, marking shall be in accordance with Fed. Std. No. 123. Bar Code marking is required, unless otherwise specified (See Section 6).

(2) For Shipment to Military Activities. In addition to any special markings required by the contract or order, marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129. Bar code marking is required, unless otherwise specified (See Section 6).

A. Ordering Data: Purchasers should select the preferred options permitted herein, and include the following information in procurement documents:

(1) Title, number, and date of this Commercial Item Description.

(2) Desired type.

(3) Arrangement for inspection and inspection facilities, of different than provisions under Quality Assurance.
