COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
PAPER, KRAFT, TREATED (FIRE RESISTANT)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description, for all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE. This description covers kraft paper used in general non-food purposes where some fire resistance is required.
2. CLASSIFICATION. The paper covered by this Commercial Item Description shall be of the following types, as specified in the Ordering Data.
Type 1- Basis weight: 22.7 kg (50 lbs.)
Type 2- Basis weight: 27.2 kg (60 lbs.)
3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS.
3.1 The paper furnished under this description shall be unbleached kraft and shall conform to the requirements as listed in Table I.
