end. From each of the six sections, three adjacent 1-inch-wide specimens shall be cut
perpendicular to the seam (see 4.5). One of the specimens from each section shall be tested at
room temperature (see 4.4), one from each section tested at 100 °F, and the remaining one from
each section tested at 160 °F. After heat-sealing and prior to the application of the specified
weights, the specimens in all cases shall be exposed for one hour to the test conditions specified
in 4.4.
