E. Basis weight. The basis weight of chipboard shall be as specified (see table I) with a tolerance of plus or minus 5 percent when tested in accordance with TAPPI T 410.

F. Workmanship. Chipboard shall be free from surface lumps, clip indentations, wrinkles, cracks, breaks, blows, blisters, split edges, soil and mechanical imperfections or any other defects which may impair its serviceability or appearance.

2. RECOVERED MATERIALS.

The contractor must certify that the product offered shall include a minimum of 80 % post-consumer recovered material as defined in 40 CPR, Part 250. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.

3. QUALITY ASSURANCE.

Responsibility for Inspection - Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier Is responsible for the performance of all Inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth herein, where such Inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to the prescribed requirements.

Each lot of sheets shall be inspected for conformance to the requirements herein. Inspection shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105 using the sampling plans specified below.

A. Visual characteristics- Inspection level S-4 with an Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) of 4.0 percent defective. The sample unit shall be one sheet.
