C. Inspections.
(1) Visual Examination. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B. (1) and 4.B. (2) shall e examined to verify that the superficial product characteristics are in compliance with Section I.
(2) Dimensional Examination. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B. (1) and 4.B. (2) shall be examined to verify that the superficial product characteristics are in compliance with Section I.
(3) Tests. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B. (3) under “Sampling” shall be tested in accordance with the TAPPI Test Method. A certified test report from the paper manufacturer covering each production lot of wrappers will be acceptable, in lieu of testing the end item wrappers for basis weight.
(4) Examination for Preparation for Delivery. Samples taken in accordance with paragraph 4.B. (4) under “Sampling” shall be examined to determine compliance with Section 5.
5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
A. Packaging and Packing Provisions. 1000 coin wrappers shall be packaged in accordance with normal commercial practices to prevent damage during multiple shipments, handling, and storage. Packaged coin wrappers shall be packed in accordance with normal commercial practice. The packing container shall be closed to prevent accidental opening and shall be such to insure carrier acceptance and safe delivery to destination, complying with the rules and regulations applicable to the mode of transportation to be used.
B. Marking.
(1) For Shipment to Civil Agencies. In addition to any special marking required by contract or order, marking shall be in accordance with Fed. Std. No. 123. Bar Code marking is required, unless otherwise specified (See Section 6).
