C. Absorbency Test. Measure the dry weight of the pad in grams. Lay the pad in the pan of distilled water for 60 + 5 seconds. Then, grasp the pad with the tweezers by the corner edge, remove it from the water and hold it vertically for 60 + 5 seconds. Measure the final weight of the pad. Subtract the dry weight from the final weight to obtain the total absorbency per pad.
3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580, as amended, to the maximum extent practicable.
4. PACKAGING, PACKING, AND MARKING: Packaging, packing and marking shall be as specified in the contract or purchase order.
5. REFERENCED DOCUMENTS: The issue of the referenced documents in effect on the date of the solicitation for offers or request for proposals shall be used to determine conformance with the requirements of this Commercial Item Description.
